Amari Rebel is a musical maroon armed with a guitar and a vision of freedom. The Movement is a sonic starship of Inner-Galactic Goodness.

Formed in 2013, Amari Rebel and the Movement are transporting bodies, hearts, and minds, while enticing imaginations to dwell in the impossible.  To accomplish this, they call upon a genealogy of Rebels that includes Jimi Hendrix, P-Funk, Nina Simone, Bob Marley, and Fela Kuti, fusing musical traditions from across the African Diaspora into an experience that is simultaneously a genre and a state of being.  They call it Soular Rock.

This Soular Sound has brought them up and down the East Coast, across the pond to London, and beyond.  They are also the mad scientists behind the Soul Rebel Party, a Philly-based underground experiment in Freedom. 2017 promises to be their biggest year yet, with new music, more shows, and bigger surprises around each corner.

On Soular Rock, fear ain’t nothin but a memory.
Doubt ain’t nothin but a word.
Here, living free is a tendency.
No other thought pattern occurs.

We are moving bodies, hearts, and minds.  Tell me, do you wanna go?
