The full Soular Rock set: original music and reimagined classics, built around stories rooted in the African Diaspora. This is the performance on its own — no structured discussion built in, just the show, for campuses that want the music without extending the booking.
The same performance, followed by a facilitated conversation with the audience — a built space for students to respond directly to what they just experienced, connecting the show's themes of freedom, identity, and community back to their own lives on campus. Where the Live Show ends at the last song, this format uses that energy to open a real exchange.
A residency extends the show into a longer campus engagement, built on the same structure: original music, teachings on history and community, and space designed for students to respond rather than just watch. Where a single performance opens the door, a residency spends that extra time with a group, turning a first reaction into an ongoing conversation a department can build the rest of a program around.
Amari Rebel & the Movement
Amari Rebel is a worldbuilder using music, storytelling, and community to connect audiences across geography and generation — a transformative experience he calls Soular Rock.
Before becoming a full-time artist, Amari spent nearly a decade as a university professor and social scientist. This work has shaped how he builds a room. His shows move between original music, teachings on history and community, and moments built for students to talk back in an experience that is closer to a conversation than a traditional concert.
The Movement is a band of messengers blending rock, reggae, and hip-hop into a sound that has reached stages throughout the United States, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean.
